Why China matters to industrial decision-makers.

Germany Trade & Invest describes China as the largest single market for industrial robotics and reports roughly 200 manufacturers of humanoid systems. Beijing, the Yangtze River Delta and the Greater Bay Area are highlighted as leading clusters.

The competitive advantage is not just device price. Electronics, electric-vehicle supply chains, component production and rapid industrialisation shorten the path from prototype to field test. Reliability, safety, software, data and European market readiness nevertheless remain critical validation areas.

Maturity

High momentum is not the same as broad industrial maturity.

Bitkom reports that 6% of the surveyed German industrial companies use humanoid robots, 10% plan to use them and 8% are discussing their use.

At the same time, 31% consider the technology hype and 41% believe it costs more than it delivers. A China visit therefore needs to test duty cycle, failure modes, integration and service—not only movement demos.
